Parsa Begum

Parsa Begum is an accomplished professional with over four decades of experience in tax and revenue administration of People’s Republic of Bangladesh. She has started her professional career as Assistant Commissioner of Taxes in 1981. She joined as a First Secretary (Income Tax Law) in 2000 and upgraded as Commissioner of Taxes in 2001. She has held various prominent positions, including President of the Taxes Appellate Tribunal and Member of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) in Bangladesh.

Mrs. Begum holds a Master of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB.) from the University of Dhaka. She completed a training on Tax Policy for Asian and Pacific countries on Tax Incentives (2008) from International Monetary Fund, Japan. She obtained various trainings in foreign countries including USA, UK, Japan, Malaysia etc.
