Its commercial production was started in May 1986 and its journey with a few products. IPI is now producing more than 450 pharmaceutical products with various types of dosage forms including solid dosage forms (tablets and capsules), parenteral products (ampoules, vials), liquid dosage forms including syrup, solutions, suspensions & powder for suspension (dry syrups); sterile ophthalmic products, cream, ointments, gel, eye drops, sachet, lyophilized injections and DPI etc. covering almost all therapeutic classes where a lot of products are in the launching pipeline.
Now IPI is fulfilling the present market demand with a dedicated compliance area, which has been developed by many sophisticated machines like Auto-granulation line, Fette Tablet Compression machine from Germany, Sejong Tablet Compression machine from South Korea, Romaco Compactor for potent and sensitive drugs, high technical Romaco Macofar (Germany) machine for vials, Rota Ampoules Filling Machine (Germany) and Flexicon (Denmark) for injectable Ampoules. Moreover, IPI has another two dedicated granulation units (one is Auto-granulation), six sophisticated tablet compression machines, six tablet coating machines including IMA tablet coating (from Italy) which is highly sophisticated and faster, eight blister machines including Heino-Ilsemann (from Germany) blister machine with auto-cartooning. Besides, IPI has a dedicated Cephalosporin Division.
IPI wishes to launch Biotech, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) and preparations to its product portfolio by dedicated sophisticated machines like Lyophilizer (Freeze Dryer) (Tofflon, China), Solution Preparation Vessel and CIP & SIP Skid (Tofflon, China), Automatic Prefilled Syringe Filling & Sealing Machine (iDOSETECHNO, Spain), Flexicon Dry Powder Filling Machine (Denmark), Freeze Drying Microscope (FDM) (McCRONE, USA), Fedegari Autoclave (Italy) and Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) Sterilizer (China). At present, the IPI has started marketing some Injectable products including Esolok 40 mg Injection, Prolok 40mg Injection, Pantolok 40mg Injection and Oxyfer Injection.
