Each tablet contains Curcuminoids USP (Curcuma longa) 500 mg.

Curcumin, the principle component of turmeric, is a natural anti-inflammatory agent that has been used for treating inflammatory related medical conditions for many years. Turmeric has strong Anti-inflammatory, Antioxidant and Antimicrobial properties. It is used to treat Gastrointestinal disorders, e.g. Dyspepsia, Helicobacter pylori infection, Flatulence, Colic, Irritable bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease. The active constituents of Curcuma longa are the flavonoid curcumin and various volatile oils including Tumerone, Atlantone and Zingiberone. Curcumin exhibits stronger antioxidant activity compared to vitamin C and E.

1-2 tablets 2-3 times daily after meal or as directed by the physician.

Curcumin has stimulating effect on the biliary tract. It should not be administered if there is a bile duct blockage. Colic can occur if patient suffers from gallstones and other gall diseases. In that case, use only after consultation with a physician.

Curcuminoids is well tolerated in recommended dose. Stomach complaints can occur following extended use or in the case of overdose.

The safety of Curcuminoids during pregnancy has not been established.

Excretion of the drug into breast milk and its effects on the newborn have not been established. Until such data are available, the drug should not be used during lactation, except on medical advice.
