Azopres Br is a fixed combination of two anti-glaucoma drugs- Brinzolamide & Brimonidine Tartrate. Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor which reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) by decreasing aqueous humor secretion in the ciliary processes of the eye. Brimonidine Tartrate is an alpha 2 adrenergic receptor agonist which reduces IOP by decreasing aqueous humor production and increasing uveoscleral outflow. Azopres Br is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Azopres Br is supplied as 5 ml sterile ophthalmic suspension.
Azopt is a combination product of Dorzolamide & Timolol. Dorzolamideis a carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitors & Timolol is a topical beta blockers. Azopt is indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to topical beta blockers. It is available as 5 ml sterile eye drops.
Bimolet is a combination product of Brimonidine & Timolol. Brimonidine is more selective for the alpha-2 adrenoceptor. Timolol is a beta 1 and beta 2 non-selective adrenergic receptor blocking agent. Bimolet is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension who require adjunctive or replacement therapy due to inadequately controlled IOP. Bimolet is available as 5 ml sterile eye drops.
