Composition
Each sachet contains Sodium Chloride- 0.44 gm, Potassium Chloride - 0.38 gm, Sodium Bi-carbonate - 0.42 gm, Dextrose Anhydrous – 4.09 gm, Sucrose – 8.07 gm, Fructose - .07 gm, Flavour- Qs.
Indications And Uses
• For prevention of dehydration & management of diarrhoea • In all types of dehydration
Dosage And Administration
The amount of water removed from the body, equivalent quantity of mixture should be given. After each loose motion... Children below 2 years : 50-100 ml (10-20 teaspoonful) prepared saline. Children between 2-10 years : 100-200 ml (20-40 teaspoonful) prepared saline. Children above 10 years and adults : 200-400 ml (1-2 glass) prepared saline.
Precaution
ORS should not be mixed with hot water and the mixture should not be heated. The mixture must be discarded after 12 hours from preparation.
Storage
Store in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
